Machining Capabilities

RL Engineering manufactures CNC turned and milled components at our facility in Ferndale, South Wales. We supply customers across South Wales and throughout the UK, producing small to medium-sized parts for a range of industries.

Our work includes one-off components, prototypes, development samples and repeat production batches. Our CNC capabilities include turning, live tooling, Y-axis and twin-spindle machining, milling, CAD/CAM programming and bar-fed production.

We machine stainless steel, aluminium, mild and alloy steels, brass, bronze, copper and engineering plastics. Send us your drawing, model or specification and we will review the manufacturing requirements, quantity and requested delivery date.

Lights-out CNC turning

For suitable repeat-production work, our bar-fed CNC lathes can run unattended, supporting efficient production of higher-volume batches. This approach helps us maintain consistent cycle times and make effective use of machine capacity.

Working with a UK-based manufacturer also provides direct communication throughout quotation and production. Changes to drawings, quantities and delivery requirements can be discussed with the team responsible for manufacturing your components.
